Setup and management of FLOATING licences for IT administrators.
About the SIDRA OrgAdmin Portal
The SIDRA OrgAdmin portal is used by FLOATING Licence Administrators to manage licences.
The portal allows you to:
- Create and manage User Groups
- Invite End Users to a User Group
- Set which User Group(s) can access an Entitlement
- Check FLOATING Licence usage (who is using what)
- Block an End User from using a Licence
- Reserve a Licence Seat for an End User
- Release a Licence from being used
Related accounts
SIDRA OrgAdmin is different from:
- STORE Account - for downloading software, reviewing licence status, purchasing COVER renewals
- SUPPORT Account - for technical support and viewing support solutions
Initial Setup
Step 1: SIDRA Sales Office sets up the portal
We will set up the SIDRA OrgAdmin portal using the email of the Licence Contact for your organisation (same contact used in your STORE Account).
Once complete, a system-generated email invitation will be sent to the Licence Contact.
Note
Only one portal is allocated per Licence Contact.
Step 2a: Accept the invitation
- Check your inbox for an email from noreply@sidrasolutions.com with subject: Invitation to set up your SIDRA FLOATING Licence Account
- Click the View your invitations link in the email
- On the webpage, click Accept
Invitation not working?
If you see "Invitation not found", the invitation may have expired. Request a new invitation via the SIDRA OrgAdmin portal.
Step 2b: Create your account
- Enter your First name, Last name, and Password (with confirmation)
- Select your Country from the dropdown
- Tick the Terms and Conditions checkbox
- Click Sign up
- A validation email will be sent to you
Step 2c: Validate your email
- Open the email from noreply@sidrasolutions.com with subject: Please confirm your email address
- Click Confirm email address
- Your SIDRA User Profile is now confirmed and you will be automatically logged in
Step 2d: Additional organisations
If you receive an invitation for an additional organisation:
- Click View your Invitations in the email
- Click Accept on the webpage
- Select the organisation from the dropdown menu at the top right of the portal
Signing In
To sign in to the SIDRA OrgAdmin portal:
- Enter your Email and click Next
- Enter your Password and click Sign in
- If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, enter the 6-digit code from your MFA device
Managing End Users
Invite a new user
- Go to the Invitations page
- Click Create (top left)
- In the INVITE USERS window:
- Enter Recipient name and Recipient email
- Select the group(s) to invite the user to
- Click Assign Admin access if you want to make them an Administrator
- Edit the default message if needed
- Click Invite
Bulk import
You can import users from a CSV file with this format:
Create a User Group
- Go to the Groups page
- Click Create (top left)
- Enter the Name, Type and Description
- Select the entitlements this group can access
Manage a User Group
- Go to the Groups page
- Click the '...' button for the relevant Group
- Select Members
- Select or de-select users
- Click Apply
Delete a User Group
- Go to the Groups page
- Click the '...' button for the relevant Group
- Select Remove
Note
The system-assigned default Group cannot be deleted.
Set Entitlement access
An Organisation can have multiple Entitlements, and each Entitlement can have multiple Licences. Control which groups can access entitlements:
- Go to the Groups page
- Click the '...' button for a Group, then View details
- Click Edit
- Select or de-select entitlements
- Click Apply
