How to use SIDRA INTERSECTION with a FLOATING licence.

Accept Your Invitation

Info

You must be invited by your organisation's Administrator before you can use a FLOATING licence.

  1. Check your inbox for an email from noreply@sidrasolutions.com with subject: Invitation to set up your SIDRA FLOATING Licence Account
  2. Click View Your Invitations in the email
  3. Click Accept on the webpage
  4. Enter your First name, Last name, and Password (with confirmation)
  5. Select your Country
  6. Tick the Terms and Conditions checkbox
  7. Click Sign up
  8. Check your email and click Confirm email address
  9. Your SIDRA User Profile is now created

Sign In to Your SIDRA User Profile

To sign in:

  1. Go to SIDRA User Profile
  2. Enter your Email and click Next
  3. Enter your Password and click Next
  4. If you have 2FA enabled, enter the 6-digit code from your MFA device

Acquire a Licence Seat

Online Method

The online method requires an internet connection throughout your session.

Select FLOATING licence type

  1. Open SIDRA INTERSECTION (it will show the Licensing tab if unlicenced)
  2. Select FLOATING in the Licence Type group
  3. The FLOATING User Profile dialog will open

Sign in

  1. Click Sign In in the dialog
  2. A browser will open the SIDRA User Profile sign-in page
  3. Enter your Email and click Next
  4. Enter your Password and click Sign in

After signing in, your Name and Email appear in the User Profile section. You remain signed in until you sign out.

Acquire the seat

  1. After signing in, the Acquire Licence Seat dialog opens automatically
  2. Accept the default settings and click OK
  3. If successful, an unlocked padlock icon appears at the bottom right

Change Model Level

If you have a licence for another Model Level (PLUS or NETWORK), click Acquire Seat in the Licensing ribbon and select a different Model Level. The program will restart.

Important

  • Your seat remains active while the program is running and connected to the internet
  • Closing the program releases the seat
  • Signing out releases the seat
  • If your internet drops, the seat expires within 60 minutes

Offline Method

An Offline Licence Seat lets you use SIDRA INTERSECTION without an internet connection.

How it works

  • Internet connection required to download the offline seat
  • Seat is immediately deducted from your Licence Seat Pool
  • Seat remains allocated for the selected duration (1, 7, 14, or 30 days)
  • Seat is not released by closing the software or signing out
  • Seat becomes available again only after the duration expires

Select FLOATING licence type

  1. Open SIDRA INTERSECTION
  2. Select FLOATING in the Licence Type group
  3. Sign in to your User Profile (same as online method)

Download the offline seat

  1. In the Acquire Licence Seat dialog, select Offline under Select a Method
  2. Select a Model Level (default is PLUS)
  3. Click Download
  4. Confirm the warning message by clicking Yes
  5. The seat will be downloaded with details including Lease Expiration Time
  6. Click OK to close

Renew your offline seat

To renew before the expiry:

  1. On the Licensing ribbon tab, select FLOATING
  2. Click Acquire Seat
  3. Click Renew under Offline Licence Seat
  4. Click OK

Note

You must be online to renew.
