INTRODUCTION TO SIDRA
Setup requirements specific to the INTRODUCTION TO SIDRA training program.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have read the Getting Started guide first. It covers general technical requirements, how to join via Livestorm, troubleshooting, and what to expect on the day.
Additional Technical Requirements
In addition to the general technical requirements, this program requires:
- Two monitors are required for this program
- Operating system: Windows 10 or later
- RAM: 8 GB or higher
- SIDRA INTERSECTION software — latest version required (see below)
SIDRA INTERSECTION Software Setup
Training will be conducted using the latest version of SIDRA INTERSECTION. Before the session, each attendee will receive a temporary licence and a download link.
If you want to use your own SIDRA INTERSECTION licence, please update it to the latest version. For instructions, see How to Update.
Activate Your Training FLOATING Licence
Please ensure you have accepted the email invitation to join your SIDRA FLOATING Licence Account and create your SIDRA User Profile. If you have not received the invitation, please contact us.
For full instructions on how to sign in and acquire a licence seat, see the FLOATING Licence — End Users guide.
Two methods are available:
- Online Method — activate SIDRA INTERSECTION while connected to the internet (recommended)
- Offline Method — download a licence seat for use while disconnected from the internet for a limited time
Tip
We always recommend using the Online Method for ease of use.
Two Monitors — Display Setup
We recommend using two monitors to use the SIDRA INTERSECTION software and view the presentation and training book at the same time:
| Monitor | Usage |
|---|---|
| Monitor 1 | Access and use the SIDRA INTERSECTION software and example files |
| Monitor 2 | View the Presenter's screen and the Training Book |
During presentations, you will see one of the following on the Presenter's screen: a PowerPoint presentation, SIDRA INTERSECTION software used by the Presenter, or the Presenter's copy of the Training Book.
You can view the presenter's shared screen in full screen by clicking on More → Enter fullscreen mode.
For reading data for examples, you may prefer to print the Training Book.
Training Materials
We will send you links to download your Training Books and Project Files via email. Please copy them to your local computer so that you can open them from there during the training sessions.
You may wish to print the example pages of your Training Books as these may be easier to use while you are following the Presenter during example sessions.
Tutorial Videos
We highly recommend you watch our Tutorial Video series before training.
