Enhancements
  • Significant improvements to Network Model convergence methods, particularly the Two-Loop Method, to achieve better and faster convergence for many Network cases.
  • Improvements to the calculation and reporting of Travel Time and Delay elements including idling delay, acceleration-deceleration delay and geometric delay.
  • Improvements to Network Layout Display.
  • Text in the TWSC Calibration Table now changes automatically to be specific to the current Drive Rule, avoiding user confusion.
  • For some input changes that do not require reprocessing, the program no longer removes the outputs.
  • An option added for administrators to disallow checking out licences, to prevent misuse of the Offline Licence feature.
  • New functions in the Add and Modify Assign dialogs for removing Zone Connectors from Zones and Sites, and for removing all Zone Connectors.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a problem that caused Saturation Flow values to be allocated to the wrong green periods for some unsignalised Slip Lanes at signalised Sites.
  • Green periods were not correctly identified in some unusual unsignalised Slip Lane cases at signalised Sites.
  • Fixed some processing errors related to effective green time calculations.
  • Error messages related to signal phasing specification did not refer to the correct phase in some unusual cases.
  • Some units in table headers in the Detailed Output were not correctly showing US units when the US Customary setup was used.
  • In some cases, individual Site results changed if the Site was processed following processing of a Network.
  • Fixed a User Interface error that occurred in Network Configuration for right-hand driving setups.
  • Fixed a problem with API access to Movement Class data that indicated some unused Movement Classes were present.
  • Fixed a licensing problem related to API access when a subscription licence was in use.
  • Timeout limits increased to avoid processing timeout errors when processing a large number of Sites or Networks using the SIDRA BATCH PROCESSOR Utility.
  • SIDRA Classic Format Movement Displays for Delay and Degree of Saturation were not showing the correct output values.
  • Fixed a User Interface error that sometimes occurred when opening very large project files.
  • Fixed a problem with number alignment for wide approach roads in the Lane Changes, Lane Flows and Lane Utilisation Network Displays.
  • For the Overall Method of Pedestrian Volume data, differences between Sites were not being reported in Input Comparison.
  • Fixed a problem that prevented installation of the software when there was no internet connection.
  • Fixed a case where an Offline Licence stopped working when there was no internet connection.
  • Fixed refreshing of Offline Licences when the licence was changed.
  • Fixed a case where the SIDRA ASSIGN function was not available with an Offline Licence.
  • The Move Up and Move Down buttons were not working correctly in the Assign Bin Setup dialog, Zone Data Editor tab.
  • Fixed a User Interface error that occurred when cloning an ASSIGN Volume Bin.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when trying to create a Trip Matrix report in Destination-Origin format.
  • Fixed incorrect reporting of the Duality Gap value in ASSIGN Diagnostics when the Incremental Assignment and All Or Nothing methods were used.
  • Fixed updating of ASSIGN Layouts when changes are made to Site geometry.

Users will need to download the new Version 11.0.2 setup file and install manually.

Bug Fixes
  • Resolved an issue that prevented some users from acquiring a cloud licence.
  • OD Presets did not work with exported Assign Networks and cloned Assign Volume Bins.
  • Resolved a problem with the software updater. Automatic updates did not work with Version 11.0.1 and there was no prompting of users about new updates.

This is the first release of SIDRA INTERSECTION 11. This new major version introduces new features and various improvements listed below.

Features and Enhancements

SIDRA ASSIGN

A micro-analytical multimodal traffic assignment module with five assignment methods for Route choice modelling integrated with the detailed lane-based SIDRA Network Model; useful for assessing the impacts of traffic management schemes that result in changes in the Routes used by road users.

Origin-Destination (O-D) Matrix Data

Origin-Destination demand volumes specified in Assign Volume Bins of the Volume Store, and used by ASSIGN to estimate intersection movement volumes while accounting for network-wide traffic interactions and detailed intersection capacity and performance estimation at the lane level.

Enhanced Network Convergence Method

Two-Loop Convergence method introduced as an option for difficult convergence cases for Networks with high levels of lane blockage effects causing oversaturation. The Final Run step removed (was used in earlier versions after the Network model iterations).

Proportion Queued

The estimation of Proportion Queued improved for oversaturated cases of multiple green periods.

Platoon Modelling

Platoon modelling applied to Arterial and Freeway Segments, and general improvements introduced to the platoon model.

New Personal, Team and Lab Subscription Licences (CLOUD licences in addition to the existing FLOATING Licence) introduced.
