Users will need to download the new Version 11.0.2 setup file and install manually.

Bug Fixes
  • Resolved an issue that prevented some users from acquiring a cloud licence.
  • OD Presets did not work with exported Assign Networks and cloned Assign Volume Bins.
  • Resolved a problem with the software updater. Automatic updates did not work with Version 11.0.1 and there was no prompting of users about new updates.

This is the first release of SIDRA INTERSECTION 11. This new major version introduces new features and various improvements listed below.

This is the 26th major SIDRA version since its first release.

Features and Enhancements

SIDRA ASSIGN

A micro-analytical multimodal traffic assignment module with five assignment methods for Route choice modelling integrated with the detailed lane-based SIDRA Network Model; useful for assessing the impacts of traffic management schemes that result in changes in the Routes used by road users.

Origin-Destination (O-D) Matrix Data

Origin-Destination demand volumes specified in Assign Volume Bins of the Volume Store, and used by ASSIGN to estimate intersection movement volumes while accounting for network-wide traffic interactions and detailed intersection capacity and performance estimation at the lane level.

Enhanced Network Convergence Method

Two-Loop Convergence method introduced as an option for difficult convergence cases for Networks with high levels of lane blockage effects causing oversaturation. The Final Run step removed (was used in earlier versions after the Network model iterations).

Proportion Queued

The estimation of Proportion Queued improved for oversaturated cases of multiple green periods.

Platoon Modelling

Platoon modelling applied to Arterial and Freeway Segments, and general improvements introduced to the platoon model.

Website Changes

New sidraintersection.com and SIDRA Docs websites introduced. SIDRA Docs documentation system provides a consistent structure for presenting information, technical guides, references and support resources.

SIDRA Glossary update including traffic assignment terms.

New Software Licensing

New Personal, Team and Lab Subscription Licences (CLOUD licences in addition to the existing FLOATING Licence) introduced.
